What is the Closed on Sunday AI effect?
Inspired by the choir finale of Kanye West’s “Closed on Sunday,” the effect stages a person or pet in the middle of a choir, usually against an open, warm desert-inspired setting. The surrounding ensemble supplies the performance: singing, coordinated movement and the visual rhythm of the scene. Your uploaded photo supplies the central subject. The choir preset changes the characters around that subject while keeping the same overall concept.
You choose a photo, a choir, a video format and quality. The template supplies the generation instructions and reference movement. There is no prompt to write and no sequence of short clips to stitch together. The target request is 14 seconds; inspect the completed file before sharing.
Our in-house showcase pairs input photos with complete videos and includes singing-lead variations. The generator follows the original music-video moment: a still, silent lead while the choir sings and sways around them. The “Closed on Sunday” song excerpt carried by our supplied reference video is added to the completed visuals after rendering. Each AI generation interprets its photo and scene anew.
1. Choose one photo for your Closed on Sunday AI video
Start with a single, clearly visible person or pet. Choose a sharp image with a face that can be seen without sunglasses, masks, heavy shadow or another subject covering it. Leave room around the head and body rather than cropping tightly. A simple background makes the intended lead easier to distinguish from other objects.
- Use even light. Take a photo facing a window or in soft daylight, and avoid a bright light directly behind the subject.
- Keep the subject still while taking the photo. Zoom in on the original to check the eyes and facial outline rather than judging a tiny thumbnail.
- Use one main subject. For a pet, choose a view where the head and body are visible; avoid a hand, toy or blanket covering the face.
- Upload JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB. Both dimensions must be 301–5999 pixels. Width divided by height must be greater than 0.4 and less than 2.5.
Look at your selected photo before continuing. If a face is cut off, choose a less tightly cropped version. Use an image you own or have permission to transform, and obtain permission from people shown. Remove private details you do not want uploaded. Our photo checklist explains these choices with the team's input examples.
2. Choose a choir, format and quality
There are 12 presets: Original, Cats, Dogs, Skeletons, Pumpkins, Zombies, Angels, Penguins, Frogs, Teddies, Aliens and Grandmas. Think of this choice as the supporting cast. A photo of a person with Cats selected creates a person-centered cat choir concept; a photo of a cat with Original selected puts the pet in the center of a robed ensemble.
Choose Original for a classic choir look, an animal ensemble for a playful contrast, or a seasonal group such as Pumpkins or Skeletons for a themed post. The choir guide describes every preset. The generator provides 12 ready-to-use choir choices. Our in-house gallery also presents a zombie-nurse ensemble variation.
Landscape 16:9 gives a wide ensemble more room. Portrait 9:16 is available for a vertical composition. Select the requested format independently of the uploaded photo's shape. Then choose 480p or 720p: 480p uses 50 credits, while 720p uses 100. A new version with another format, photo or quality is a new generation with a new charge.
Make one deliberate change between versions
If you are comparing ensembles, keep the same photo, format and quality so you can judge the supporting cast. If you are checking photo suitability, keep the choir unchanged and replace only the input. This makes your own comparisons easier to interpret and helps you decide which change is worth another request.
Write down the selected choir and settings with your saved MP4. A short filename such as “portrait-cat-choir-720p” is easier to find than several unnamed downloads. Do not include an account password, private order information or someone else's personal details in a filename you plan to share.
Before a portrait post, check how much of the surrounding ensemble remains visible. Before a landscape post, check whether the center is still readable at a smaller display size. Choose the framing for the final use rather than assuming that a different resolution changes the composition.
How much does a Closed on Sunday AI video cost?
The one-time credit packs are $6.99 for 100 credits, $12.99 for 300 credits and $39.99 for 1,000 credits. At 50 credits per 480p video, those packs cover up to 2, 6 or 20 requests. At 100 credits per 720p video, they cover up to 1, 3 or 10 requests. You can mix qualities within the available balance.
The minimum purchase is $6.99. Browse examples and prepare your photo before purchase; creating a finished video uses the credits shown for your selected quality. Review that charge before you submit. The pricing page shows the current catalog and explains failed-task credits separately from purchase refunds.
Purchases have a seven-day unconditional refund window. A confirmed failed generation returns the credits charged for that task. Those are different operations: one returns generation credits, while the other concerns the purchase payment. Contact support@closedonsundayai.net with an order reference if you need help with a purchase.
3. Sign in, continue checkout and create
You can prepare the photo and settings first. If you need credits, select a pack and continue with Google. This browser keeps your selected photo and choices while you sign in and complete checkout. Return using the same browser so the saved draft can be restored. The local draft expires after 24 hours.
Before starting, check the photo, choir preset, format, quality and displayed charge together. Submit the request once, then follow the existing task. Keep its identifier if you contact support. A new submission creates a separate generation; it is not a way to refresh the original job.
If account or checkout information does not load, use the available retry route and wait for the current response. A payment return page alone does not prove credits have arrived. Confirm the account balance before starting a paid generation, and do not repeat a payment because a page is still loading.
4. Review the result and download your MP4
Play the complete video. Check the central subject's facial details, the choir composition and the beginning and ending of the movement. Listen to the supplied soundtrack at a comfortable level. AI can reinterpret facial features, clothing and motion, so review the whole result rather than checking only the first frame.
Download the available MP4 and play the saved file on your device. Completed private videos remain available for 14 days after completion, then are automatically deleted. Uploaded photos are deleted 24 hours after upload. Public team demonstration copies have a separate display purpose and do not extend private task retention.
When preparing a social post, preview the selected crop. Keep the central subject and enough of the surrounding group visible to explain the choir idea. Check that captions do not cover faces. A 9:16 generation is a portrait request, while manually cropping a landscape clip is an additional editing decision.
What to do if a generation does not complete
Check the current task status first. Processing means the job is still underway; an unknown status needs another check rather than an assumption that it failed. Confirmed failed tasks return their charged credits. Starting a new generation after a returned credit balance still creates a fresh charge.
If a completed video has a playback problem, try the available media recovery option and test its downloaded MP4. If the problem continues, contact support@closedonsundayai.net with the task reference, device and visible message. Use the help page for the recovery checklist, then return to the Closed on Sunday AI generator when you are ready.
